Our welcome statement

At St.Luke’s Episcopal Church, we affirm God’s love for all of God’s people. St.Luke’s is a welcoming congregation intent on providing a sanctuary for all people. Whoever you are, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, and whatever your ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious background, political affiliation, or economic circumstance, you are welcome here. We share a love of God and each other, a sense of meaning and belonging, and a yearning to learn and grow in faith, and a desire to serve others.

Community Conversation on Immigration

St. Luke's will be hosting a potluck dinner and a WEMM community conversation on immigration Issues and concerns. The conversation will address the various facets and complexity immigration laws and the affect this has on communities. There will be plenty of time for questions and answer. Please invite your friends and neighbor to join this conversation.

As we enter into this final week of Advent  preparing for the one who has come, is coming and will come again, I would like to share with you one of my most treasured Advent traditions, The O Antiphons.

Death and Dying: All Parish Retreat

Followed by A Commemoration of the Faithful Departed at 4:00 p.m.

We are alive, therefore we will die and so will our loved ones. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, and yet very few of us have really come to terms with it. Death is always a time of crisis but the intensity of the crisis is affected by how prepared that we are to face death.

As Christians we understand death is an event; this is the last act in the journey of our temporal lives but it is not the last word.
