Mother Wendy Watson was born in Berkeley, California. After graduating from University of California Santa Cruz in 1970, she worked as a printer. She was baptized as an adult in 1974. She attended seminary at Virgina Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. She was ordained a deacon June1983 by Bishop William Swing and ordained priest May 1984 by Bishop Lyman Ogilby.
