Daughters of the King

The Daughters of the King (DOK) is a lay Order for women founded in 1885. We support the Episcopal Church and the community through prayer, service and evangelism. Our Anna Chapter has set the goal of supporting the membership growth of our church. Twice a year we gather for the fall and spring assemblies. We sponsor one coffee hour each year. Please feel free to ask any of our members what they like about being a daughter. It might be a good choice for you or a member of your family.

The commitment of Daughters of the King is to serve God and their church. In 2011 DOK included: St Luke’s annual Women’s Retreat was held at the Mercy center in November Serving as Eucharistic Ministers on Sundays Leading acolytes into service and personal growth
Teaching Sunday school. Daughters meet and greet guests at coffee hour Working on the Gratitude Committee
Daughters at St Luke’s have graduated from Education for Ministry (EFM) both as participants and mentors. We are a support system for each other. There are two prospective Daughters for this year’s six orientation sessions with space for more. We have a lot of laughter and some tears while we learn more about our relationship with God, and form strong bonds of friendship. God and friendship are an unbeatable combination.
