One Room Sunday School
ONE ROOM SUNDAY SCHOOL is a Bible based curriculum designed by Cokesbury for students of all ages. Each student discovers lessons for themselves in everyday discipleship. There are a variety of age-appropriate activities, giving each what they can absorb.
We meet Sunday at 9:45 at the basement steps, reviewing last week’s Bible story, singing, and processing into the main classroom for a new Bible drama. Older students read and act out this Bible story, after which we divide into smaller groups for crafts, Bible activities and discussion. We close with a group prayer at the basement steps and process into church for Holy Communion at about 11:45.
This is an exciting curriculum! We find reviewing the previous lessons each Sunday gives students continuity and reinforcement in their Bible study. Since starting this curriculum in September we have seen St. Luke’s students grow together in friendship through comprehensive group interaction. Feel free to contact us through the Church office.
